Not what I expected….better
These were a lot nicer that what I expected – a bargain at $27. The only downsides are that I think they are probably too smokey to be placed on a table (we place them on the ground) and the fill hole is a bit small. Filled with Citronella, they last for hours, and are not impacted by the wind or rain. These have a reserved spot in my camping equipment from now on.

I like them
Very pretty, well made. They have been out our deck which gets a lot of weather (we live in the mountains) and they still look great. Produces a good flame. Very happy with this item.

A camping essential
These are well-constructed and portable. I ordered two sets, and they are an essential for every camping trip we take now. They look nice, though if you aren’t careful with the oil they can get a bit dirty. Also, they can be a bit messy to open up and refill, but as long as you are prepared with something to clean your hands it shouldn’t be a problem.

Great Item
These are great lamps. I don’t know why people are complaining about the height of the flame or how hard it is to blow them out. I adjust the wick to stick out about 1/16″ and it produced a 1″ tall flame… Looked great. Blowing out was easy. Maybe these people that have the wick sticking up 1/2″ or more are having problems with extinguishing the flame – buts that way too high. Just wish the fill port was a little larger. Work great though.

Tiki fun, …WITHOUT the kero!
These solar powered “tiki” torches are just plain fun! You put them up and forget them. They come on by themselves, create a great tropical ambience and no maintainence such as messy filling, or having to put them out after the party. The flickering golden light is quite convincing too, but best of all there’s NONE of that revolting kerosene smell and fumes wafting all over your guests and food, reminiscent of trying to hold an outdoor evening on the runway of some domestic airline. (Safe around running kids too, …unlike the kerosene fuelled models.)
Mine worked perfectly,…first time up ..straight out of the box, …and with only about 5 hours of sun the first day.(Didn’t open the box till late!)
If I HAD to make a criticism I’d say the poles are perhaps a bit flimsy for the heavier top, …but unless you’re planning some pole-dancing as the high-point of your lua, or setting up in a hurricane, then it’s hardly going to be a big problem.
Besides, the poles come in three sections, so you can choose what height you want them at.
My guests all comment favourably on these, …as yet they are unavailable to buy in Australia, but it won’t be long. We’ve got the sun, ……
Buy several, ….they look best in groups.
Addenda: I have had no trouble at all so far with my lights, and they literally stay on until the rising sun in the morning automatically extinguishes them. That’s ALL NIGHT!

Tiki Deck Lights
Flicker lights look great, perfect amount of light not too bright,or too dim. Lights have tropical look that I love.

Still strong
As someone mentioned, this Tiki Torch is not bright but it works as it supposed to.
I put four of these on my roof deck and 6 months after, they are still working great as the day one.
It flickers like real flame but when the batteries low it turns constant and get dull.

Looks great at night
I had some of these before that were a gift and they quit working (even with new batteries). Also one broke from being outside in the elements, so I was happy to find these. They work well, and look great at night with the flickering.

Good looking lamp
Very pretty but a little pricey. Buy it out of season to save some money. Works great it my yard and looks great too. If I would change anything I would have the snuffer cap somehow attached to the lamp.

Adequate as Described
Works fine and handy especially if the ground-insert end of your tiki torch is not sharp or strong enough to penetrate the ground. Due to limited base footprint size, rests more stable on wood deck or stone patio. Does not sit as stable on grass which is a concern if children running about. So if you must place on grass, you can see that the corners of the stand will accommodate thin ground stakes (or landscaping spikes) that can hold it more securely to the earth. Good and timely delivery; product arrived in good condition.

Nice light
This solar lamp has a nice glow and seems to hold a charge well. We put it in a flower bed so anchoring was a little difficult, but with the use of pvc tubes in varying sizes it seems to be holding well. We are happy with it and may order another.

Good light
I’ve worked with solar lights before and so I had an idea of what to expect. Quality of the glass work, aluminum work and electrical work are quite good. Unit charged up first time around, came on at dusk and shut off when it was supposed to. Exactly what I expected and exactly what it should do.

Fantastic Purchase
After reading about how solar is not the way to go with lighting, we decided we would try it anyway! The cost of having a light wired to the end of our drive was not something we felt was a good investment. So we ordered this AWESOME light many months ago. I looked around at several vendors and at various lights. This one won out. We concreted the base to the end of the drive and it works very nicely every night. It even went through the hurricane a few months ago with no issues. The light lasts a long time and is bright enough for our needs. I would re-buy this with no hesitations if the need arises for another light of this type somewhere else. Oh, and installation was a breeze.

Adds class to your patio
Very nice looking torches that are quite an upgrade from the usual bamboo torches. The only reason I don’t give them 5 stars is because they are flat on the bottom so they are very hard to get into the ground. For the price, they should come with pointed inserts for easier installation, so be prepared to have to hammer a piece of pipe into the ground first before setting them up. Other than that, they are awesome and look great. Whether or not they hold up for more than one summer, well…ask me again next summer! Oh and if there was a rating for the shipping, I’d have to give Amazon 1 star for that because I couldn’t believe the way they arrived – each one shipped separately in an extremely HUGE way oversized box. With the pole end sticking out of the corner of the box with some thin cardboard wrapped around it. They should have disassembled the top part from the pole…if they had, they would have fit into a long skinnier box – both of them! It was funny watching the UPS driver try to wrestle the 2 boxes out of the truck with those poles sticking out and even he commented that it was one of the worst pack-jobs he’d ever seen.

Very Nice
Purchased approx 6 weeks ago and we enjoy the Garden Torches. They have a nice look and fit wonderfully in our backyard. They are easy to fill which is a must for me.

Elegant addition to patio
I had looked at several copper torches similar to these but which were much more expensive for a new patio. I was pleasantly surprised at how lovely they were when we received them. They are quite beautiful for the price.

Charm factor
I wasn’t sure what I was going to get at such a low price point, but these are every bit as pretty as they look in the picture. They are very tall (which is great!), sturdy, and the hammered copper is pretty. They look very “modern” out of the box and hopefully the copper will “age” a little bit with time. Reliable flame.

impressive torches!
Bought the island king torches 3 years ago. The flame they produce is like nothing any other torch in this price range could produce. Lived in Hawaii for 3 years and these torches make a flame that rivals the gas torches throughout Honolulu. We have them around our pool area and when entertaining, we constantly get compliments about how nice they look. When we bought, we read a few reviews from people who had difficuly with rust. We decided to take steps to prevent this. First, took PVC piping with a diameter slightly larger than the torch pole and drove pieces into the ground like a holder. When we want to use the torches, they just drop right into the pipe. When there is rain in the forecast, we bring them into the garage for storage. Yes, its true, this may seem like a hassle. But after 3 years, our torches still look as new as the day we bought them and I hope to have them for at least 10 more.

Large Flame
I purchased 6 of these last summer. They provide more light then any other torch I’ve seen. They’re easy to fill, and have a metal cover. The only issue I’ve had is when there’s a rain storm with wind, the lids blow off. Once the wick gets wet and your fuel has water in it, both have to be replaced. It would help if there were clips or they screwed on to make them secure. I use small bungie cords to keep the lids on when they aren’t burning. There is a small chain on the torch to the lid so they hang down at the side of the torch when lit. Nice sturdy torches. I would also recommend you get the torch stakes for your Tiki torches.

High quality
I bought this set and a matching table set. They look great and are of excellent quality. Highly recommend.

Great Tiki!!!
We have been using ours now for about a week; we have used them everyday since they have arrived and are wonderful! My favorite feature is the wick adjuster that is attached to each lantern to help with the height of the wick without getting your hands dirty. We did have to trim some of the wick because of loose strands, but we didn’t feel it was that big of a deal. The post does come in 2 pieces that screw together and it stands straight as an arrow when approightly tightened. They are quite sturdy since the base of the post is forked making it quite easy to stick into the ground. We do keep our wicks quite short as to not have a “smoking” flame; probably at about a half inch. We use them more for ambiance than to keep bugs away. I am writing this review as I am now purchasing another 2 sets to give as gifts!
